Salvation Can Be A Reality For You!!
- God loves you.
- God loves you. None of us could ever properly describe the depth of God's love. He loves you so much that He willingly sent His Son to die for your sins. His death and resurrection prepared the way for man to be reconciled with God. John 3:16 tells us that: "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." No matter what you have done in your life, God loves you.
God does not love sin.
Sin is anything that is contrary to God's Word and His Will. Many people never realize salvation because of sin. However, every man and woman has sinned. Sin separates you from God. You may know someone that appears to be living a holy life. Yet, even that person has fallen short. Romans 3:23 tells us that: "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." We all have missed it. But, you don't have to live in sin anymore. There is an answer to sin. His name is Jesus.
There is a penalty to sin.
Sin has a penalty. In everything we do, there is an after that. Scripture tells us in Romans 6:23 that: "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." God does not allow sin to go without consequences. The only way that your sins won't lead you to eternal damnation is through God's gift of eternal life through His Son Jesus Christ.
You can't work your way to heaven.
No matter how many good deeds you may or may not have done, they will never get you to Heaven. God does not accept your good deeds as payment in full for salvation. The only way your sins are paid for in full is through the Blood that Jesus Christ shed on the cross for you. You must call on Him in faith to come into your life and save you. Galatians 2:16 tells you that: "
that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ
." It is only through faith, believing in Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord will you have eternal life. There is absolutely nothing in your own ability that can save you. It is only through Jesus Christ that you shall be saved. Salvation is God's Gift.
God's solution for your sins.
While you were still in sin, God sent Jesus to die for you (See Romans 5:8). God sent His only begotten Son to die on the cross for you. He loved you so much that even when you did not realize you needed Him, He still realized your need for Him and made provision for you to come to Him.
God has made His move, it's time you make yours.
Now that the way has been prepared for you, it is up to you and you alone to decide to follow Him. First, you must repent of your sins. Repentance simply means deciding to change direction. You must decide to turn from evil and choose to serve the Lord. Acts 3:19 says: "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord." It's time to serve the Lord.
Now, you should read Romans 10:9-10. In these scriptures, the Bible tells you that: " if thou shalt confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation."
At this time, cry out to God in your own words. Confess to Him your sinful state and your need for Him in your life. Repent of your sins. Confess your belief that Jesus Christ died for your sins and rose from the dead for you. Cry out to God. He has been waiting a long time to hear you give Him your heart. As you begin to sincerely cry out to the Lord, He will come into your life and His Holy Spirit will give you peace in your soul. You have begun the greatest walk imaginable. You are taking your first steps into an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.
You are a new creature in Christ Jesus.
Praise God for saving you! Glory to God! You are no longer condemned. You have no reason to hang your head anymore. Your past sins are just that, in the past. God has forgiven you! You are free! You are a child of the Lord God Almighty. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says: "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
Pray to God and seek Him about finding a local church to fellowship with believers and come under the prayerful covering of a pastor. We pray that we will be a blessing to you in the future as you grow in your relationship with Christ. Take some time and read through the following scriptures:
II Corinthians 5:17; Romans 8; Romans 10:6-13.
